My Bucket List

A few years ago, I was writing in my journal on a plane ride to New York. This lady was sitting by me and asked if she could read what I was writing. I told her it was personal and probably boring, but I let her read it anyway. She skimmed through it and asked me what I wanted to do in life. I told her I wasn't really sure and she then asked me to write down 5 awesome and crazy things that I wanted to do in the near future. I thought about it on the flight and wrote 1. Study abroad 2. Go to Japan 3. Live in Alaska and fish 4. Sit courtside and watch LeBron 5. Move to a random place where I didn't know anyone and see if I could make it.
Well, I thought about this experience the other day and read what I wrote on that plane and its awesome to think I accomplished all of them. 1. I studied abroad in Korea. 2. I went to Japan twice while I was teaching English. 3. I moved to Alaska last summer and fished like crazy. 4. While in Alaska, I met the director for the Miami Heat's security and he gave me tickets behind the Heat bench when they came to Utah. 5.When I moved to Korea I didn't know anyone or anything and now I have friends all over the world.
Its amazing how things work out in life and how the people you meet can change your life. This experience has been my guiding light and has allowed me to enjoy life to the fullest.. I truly believe in writing down what you want to accomplish and making it happen. Below is my bucket list of 100+ things I want to accomplish in my life! If this inspires someone to do the same thing, I will be a happy man. If it is red, I have accomplished it and I will be documenting each item on my list as I experience them (when/if I have time).
